I've lived in Burnaby, British Columbia (a suburb of Vancouver) for most of my life after moving here from Germany when I was 3 where I was born in a Canadian Military hospital. I also lived briefly in Comox, on Vancouver Island, while my Dad was stationed there but all I managed to do was crack my skull open on some steps. I'm very lucky to have had a great group of friends to grow up with as none of us ever did any garbage... we just played road hockey every day and never got into any trouble. I hate to think of how things could have turned out in a different situation.
I've been working in retail at Sport Chek for the last 12 years. I'm a people person and I'm always looking to help out as much as I can whenever I can. I've become jaded over the years and I am actively looking to expand my horizons and that's where this site comes into play... it serves as an online portfolio of everything I've done. I'm excited by the endless creative possibilites that computers can help one realize.
What started out as a hobby has turned into a full-blown passion. I love the power of computers and the fact that you can do so much with them right from your desktop. It's funny, though, that a long time ago I had a Commodore 64 but then that was it. As desktop computers grew out of their infancy I just kind of stayed away from them for some reason. I don't know how many years it was but my next computer happened to be a Packard-Bell Pentium 150 : 1.6gig hard drive : 16megs RAM : 4x CD-ROM : Windows 95. Wow. I guess it must have been 1997 that I got this bad boy and the rest is history.
I have many other interests as well such as music of many different styles and genres, football, hockey, volleyball, pets, and movies. I also play guitar and I'm currently in and old-timers roller hockey league... can you believe 30 and over is considered old-timers?
That's me in a nutshell!
